SUMMARY:Lantern Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 2025 Lantern Walk. \nMadison County Historian Steve Jackson and the Herald Bulletin’s Don McAllister will guide participants through the cemetery sharing information about individuals who have contributed significantly to the City of Anderson and Madison County. Come and enjoy an evening on our cemetery grounds and take in the fall colors! If you have trouble walking\, we’ve made some modifications to this year’s walk that will enable you to more easily participate in most of this event. \nFood and lanterns/flashlights are available while supplies last. \nRegister to win a VISA gift card. \nThis year we are collecting donations for WILLOW PLACE – an emergency women’s shelter located in Anderson – in support of their efforts to provide temporary housing\, guidance\, safety\, clothing\, and other vital resources to help women get back on their feet. Monetary donations and donations of twin sheet sets (for women)\, trash bags (13 & 30 gal.)\, paper towels\, toilet paper\, pods laundry soap\, and bath towels are needed. \nFood will be served starting at 5:30 p.m.  Arrive by 6:20 p.m. for the walk which will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. \nThis event is free and open to the public. \nRSVPs are appreciated.
